I made this for my new nephew Elijah. All of these photos were taken with my phone, then I opened them up in photoshop. I then opened them in camera raw and converted them into a grayscale and then played with the exposure, contrast and clarity. After that, I tried to make the background a bit more blurry and the letter it self more clear. I used a blur filter, used three fill layers (black, white and brown), used a textured filter and then flattened the image. 

I like this photo a lot of my cousin Jossy. This angle in particular I think enhances the attributes of her face. I had to warm up the picture, enhance the vibrance of the colors, softened and cleared up some spots on her face.

I had to slow done the shutter speed to get the effect of the water. I also brightened the colors in the picture a little.
